Working in my sketchbook is a practice that I aspire to be more diligent at. However, I struggle with working in there, consistently. I find I don’t actually love to sketch. What I love doing is creating mini completed works, or study’s for larger works. In this 5x7 print I collaged envelope pieces and hand wrote the word “love” in graphite. I really adore the way the peony flowers turned out in this piece. And chairs have long been one of my favorite items to paint.
